PinnacleCare Advocates help Members find the best specialists and facilities, interpret test results and review treatment options, attend critical doctor's appointments and accompany members to the hospital, if desired.
- Facilitated Access to the Best Physicians - Continual, objective review of the leading specialists, medical practices and treatment options enable PinnacleCare Advocates to obtain medical opinions and preliminary treatment plans from the world's best doctors. Reviewing the pros and cons of each option with a PinnacleCare Advocate helps remove much of the confusion and enables Members to select those physicians that best meet their needs. By forging strong relationships within the medical community, PinnacleCare Advocates can accelerate the time it takes to make initial appointments. Once an appointment is set, both the Member and physician are prepared for their first meeting. The patient is aware of the specialist's credentials and expertise, and the physician has reviewed the patient's records, been briefed by the PinnacleCare Advocate and, in many cases, has prepared a preliminary opinion.
- Medical Record Consolidation - PinnacleCare Advocates compile Member families' medical records into electronic files, which can be easily transmitted to treating physicians. Having complete records, aids in speeding treatment and prevents medical mistakes. Many Members carry their own PinnacleCare Key™, a silver USB flash device encoded with their consolidated medical records. In an emergency, treating physicians can instantly see the Member's crucial medical history on their computer screens.
- Advanced Research - The PinnacleCare research department keeps track of the latest medical research, treatments and clinical trials, and provides relevant, cutting-edge information to Members through the PinnacleCare Advocates.
- Disease Prevention and Wellness Management - PinnacleCare keeps abreast of new, proven prevention and detection technologies and makes these services available to Members. PinnacleCare Advocates also arrange for comprehensive Executive Physicals at leading facilities throughout the U.S., such as Johns Hopkins, the Cleveland Clinic and Duke University to name a few.
- Travel Preparedness - For Members who travel internationally, PinnacleCare Advocates will prepare a travel advisory report to identify any current prevalent disease outbreaks in an area, recommend and arrange for vaccinations, locate the best medical care and facilities in each destination in advance, and provide international medical insurance if needed. In an emergency, PinnacleCare will arrange for premier-level medical evacuation to the hospital of the Members choice.
