Alexian Brothers Center for Prevention and Early Detection
Early detection technology at Alexian Brothers allows for diagnosis of potentially fatal illnesses before many patients ever suffer from a symptom or pain. This can mean catching diseases early when they are the most treatable, curable, and in some cases, preventable. Alexian Brothers Hospital Network is truly at the forefront of early detection technology and is taking one of the most aggressive stands in early detection and advanced treatment to help patients better understand and manage their health.
"The leading causes of death and disability in this country are preventable, yet millions of adults live with undetected illness," said Karen Giammicchio, director of Alexian's Center for Prevention and Early Detection. "With today’s medical technology we now have the capability to move beyond early detection and treatment to predicting and preventing chronic disease."
Through its new Alexian Brothers Center for Prevention and Early Detection wellness center located in Schaumburg, Illinois, Alexian Brothers offers an array of early detection screenings, including the BioAnalysis 360, a global approach to preventive medicine. The BioAnalysis 360 includes the Biophysical250 heath assessment, as well as a comprehensive personal and family health history, and a fully integrated professional team of healthcare providers and nurse navigators to guide patients through the process and results.

"Our goal at Alexian is to provide real immediate and long range impact on our patients’ health and to empower them to make the right lifestyle changes to improve their health."
Taking wellness into the community, Alexian also offers health screening and wellness assessment to businesses and schools through its Alexian Brothers Partners in Prevention. This unique public health initiative is designed to provide a state-of-the-art Health Risk Appraisal done onsite. Individualized and aggregate reporting of findings lead to customized personal health improvement plans as well as organizational planning for improved employee and student health.
