Executive Medicine of Southlake to Offer Biophysical250 to its Patients
Innovative blood test aids in the presymptomatic detection of disease
AUSTIN, Texas, August 14, 2006 – Biophysical Corporation and Executive Medicine of Southlake announced today that the Biophysical250 health assessment is now available to all Executive Medicine of Southlake patients. Executive Medicine of Southlake is the first health care facility in North Texas to offer the Biophysical250 in its executive physical package.
The Biophysical250 is an innovative blood assessment that provides the single most comprehensive evaluation of an individual’s health. The assessment examines more than 250 different biomarkers, or proteins in the blood, that can be indicators of the presence of certain diseases and medical conditions at their earliest stages, often before symptoms appear. With a sample of approximately two tablespoons of blood, the Biophysical250 combines the biomarker panels used in 12 different medical specialties, including cardiology, oncology and rheumatology, into one simple test.

Southlake patients will have the option of having a small sample (approximately two tablespoons) of blood drawn at their home, office, or the Southlake medical facility. Following analysis by the Biophysical medical team, a personalized report of the results is returned to the Southlake patient and his or her physician. To fully understand the results, a personal, private consultation will be conducted with an Executive Medicine of Southlake physician to review the report point by point.
