Biophysical Corporation Names Craig Parks as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
AUSTIN, Texas, November 28, 2005 — Biophysical Corporation announced today that R. Craig Parks has joined the company as vice president and chief marketing officer. Parks has more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications and business development.
Most recently he served as executive vice president and general manager for the Austin office of Blanc & Otus, a Hill & Knowlton company, one of the world's largest global communications firms. There he led the overall operations of the firm and provided strategic counsel to health care and technology clients in the fields of software, hardware, orthopedics, dental and laboratory.
Parks founded Socket Public Relations/Austin, which grew to be one of the most successful agencies in the Southwest and was ultimately acquired by Hill & Knowlton. Previously, he held positions as vice president of corporate communications and investor relations for Boundless Technologies, and as manager of marketing communications for The Continuum Company, both of Austin. He has also worked in the publishing industry, and helped start two successful consumer and business magazines. Parks holds a degree in marketing from Mississippi State University.
