The customizable BiophysicalCheck Corporate Program is comprised of the BiophysicalCheck and Biophysical's flagship health assessment, Biophysical250. Your company can choose to offer one or both assessments as part of their wellness program. Both options provide the benefit of immediate and long-term health assessment by measuring exponentially more biomarkers than the standard blood test given with the annual physical*. These additional biomarkers can help physicians to identify many of the common diseases and conditions that are often difficult to diagnose, but can affect an employee's job performance. Biophysical also evaluates biomarkers that can help physicians assess the presence of cardiovascular disease and many types of cancer, often before symptoms arise.
A powerful extension of your wellness program, the annual BiophysicalCheck Corporate Program is unique in its ability to track an employee's health over time. Each year an employee participates; a small sample of blood is collected. The first sample is tested immediately. A small portion of the sample is saved for testing against the following year's sample for a side-by-side comparison. By examining blood samples year over year, physicians can measure the "velocity of change" in an employee's biomarkers, which can be an indicator that a health problem is emerging or that it is improving. When it comes to detecting early-stage cancer, it is usually the rate of change of the specific biomarkers over time that may be more meaningful than a single reading. Tracking this change in a large panel of interrelated biomarkers is the most powerful benefit of the BiophysicalCheck Corporate program.

What is a Biomarker?
Biomarkers are proteins in the bloodstream that can indicate health status. Compared with standard executive physicals that only look at 20-40 biomarkers like cholesterol and glucose, Biophysical250 measures those same markers, plus those used by 12 medical specialists, including cardiologists and oncologists, for a total of more than 250 different biomarkers.
* The BiophysicalCheck does not include routine labs such as CBC, Chem 20, or a basic lipid profile. These important labs are typically ordered and reviewed by your physician during your yearly physical.
