The Process
Private. Convenient. Comprehensive.
1. Your private and personalized Biophysical250 service can be ordered online, by mail, by phone (866.968.0250) or through one of our partners. In most states, a doctor's order is not required.*
2. Complete a brief Medical History Questionnaire. It is important to complete this as accurately as possible, as information from this questionnaire is used by our medical team to analyze your Biophysical250 test results. You can either complete this form online or call 800-532-7092 and have one of our nurses complete it with you.
3. Read the Informed Consent Form, which summarizes the Biophysical250 assessment procedure and ensures that you understand its benefits and limitations. You will sign this form when your blood is drawn.
4. You will be contacted to schedule an appointment to have your blood drawn (approximately 2 tablespoons) at your home, office or another convenient location. Blood draws are scheduled Monday through Thursday and takes just a few minutes.
5. Your blood then undergoes extensive laboratory analysis.
6. A Biophysical medical team reviews your results and notes those results that are out of reference ranges.
7. A personalized report of your results is sent to you by overnight courier, along with a copy for you to provide to your physician.** The entire process usually takes about 15 business days from the time we receive your blood sample.
8. Prior to delivery of your report, a Biophysical250 representative will contact you to arrange a private phone consultation to review your results with a Biophysical physician.**
Regardless of the findings, we strongly recommend that you discuss the results of the Biophysical250 with your personal physician. Your physician can help put the results in perspective for any further evaluation, tracking or treatment. Our physicians will thoroughly discuss any aspects of the assessment with you and, with permission, your personal physician.
It is important to note that physicians associated with Biophysical250 will not make a diagnosis based on the results. The results are not intended to be used as a sole means for clinical diagnosis or patient management decisions.
* Two tablespoons of blood is equal to approximately 30 cc or 29.58 ml. Five tubes of blood are collected for the Biophysical250 assessment for a total of 33.5 ml, which is approximately 2.27 tablespoons.
** Your physician may have to order your Biophysical250 and/or receive your Biophysical250 results. Some states permit consumers to order laboratory tests, but require that laboratory test results be sent to licensed physicians. Other states require that licensed physicians order laboratory tests and that the laboratory test results go to a licensed physician. Our customer service representatives will be able to tell you if your state requires your physician to order your Biophysical250, receive your Biophysical250 results or both. If your physician is required to receive your Biophysical250 results, your results will be forwarded by private courier, with a signature required, to the physician whom you designate.
