About BiophysicalCore

The BiophysicalCore Process

Private. Convenient. Comprehensive.

1. Your private and personalized BiophysicalCore assessment can be ordered by mail, by phone (800.532.7092) or through one of our partners. In most states, a doctor's order is not required.*

2. Read the Informed Consent Form, which summarizes the BiophysicalCore assessment procedure and ensures that you understand its benefits and limitations. You will sign this form when your blood is drawn.

3. You will be contacted to schedule an appointment to have your blood drawn (approximately 2 tablespoons). Blood draws are scheduled Monday through Thursday and takes just a few minutes.

4. Your blood then undergoes extensive laboratory analysis.

5. Biophysical reviews your results and notes those results that are out of reference ranges.

6. A report of your results is sent to you electronically in a password protected PDF format.** The entire process usually takes about 15 business days from the time we receive your blood sample.

Biophysical recommends that you discuss the results of the BiophysicalCore with your personal physician. Your physician can help put the results in perspective for any further evaluation, tracking or treatment. Our physicians will thoroughly discuss any aspects of the assessment with you and, with permission, your personal physician.

It is important to note that physicians associated with Biophysical will not make a diagnosis based on the results. The results are not intended to be used as a sole means for clinical diagnosis or patient management decisions.

* Two tablespoons of blood is equal to approximately 30 cc or 30 ml. Five tubes of blood are collected for the BiophysicalCore assessment for a total of 30 ml, which is approximately 2 tablespoons.

** Your physician may have to order your BiophysicalCore assessment and/or receive your BiophysicalCore results. Some states permit consumers to order laboratory tests, but require that laboratory test results be sent to licensed physicians. Other states require that licensed physicians order laboratory tests and that the laboratory test results go to a licensed physician. Our customer service representatives will be able to tell you if your state requires your physician to order your BiophysicalCore, receive your BiophysicalCore results or both. If your physician is required to receive your BiophysicalCore results, your results can be sent to electronically to the physician that you designate. You are also encouraged to print your BiophysicalCore results and take to your physician for review.
