Mark B. Chandler, PhD Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Forbes Magazine named him the “Indiana Jones” of medical research in a 1994 article that examined his search through jungles in Southeast Asia and South America for deadly toxins that became cutting-edge treatments for cancer. In 1982, he founded Inland Laboratories Inc. to provide plant and bacterial toxins to the medical research community. As president and chief executive officer of Inland, Dr. Chandler received the KPMG High Technology Entrepreneur of the Year award in 1987. Following the success of Inland Laboratories, Dr. Chandler channeled his interest in discovering new methods to evaluate blood-based biomarkers as important health indicators to found three successive companies to develop innovative biological testing technologies, primarily for academic and pharmaceutical research. In 1995, he co-founded Luminex Corporation (NASDAQ:LMNX), a company that develops, manufactures and markets innovative biological testing technologies to clinical researchers. Dr. Chandler served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Luminex until 2002. He founded Rules-Based Medicine in 1998 to further identify and develop multi-analyte testing protocols, where he continues to serve as founding director. Dr. Chandler now leads Biophysical Corporation as chairman and CEO to make this testing directly available to consumers and physicians. Dr. Chandler received his doctorate in immunology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He serves on the Board of the EastWest Institute, the National Center for Genomic Resources, and is a fellow of the New York - based Explorer's Club.

George P. Rodgers, MD President and Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Rodgers graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his residency training at the University of Texas Medical School and cardiology fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Rodgers is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and the sub-specialty of Cardiovascular Disease and entered private practice in Austin, Texas, in 1989. Prior to joining Biophysical as president and chief medical officer, he was medical director for Heart Hospital of Austin, one of the nation’s premier facilities for cardiovascular care. He was also president of the Austin Heart cardiology group from 1999 to 2004, where he continues to practice clinical cardiology. A noted authority in providing cardiovascular care and information to residents of Central Texas, he has served on numerous regional and national committees on cardiovascular disease throughout his career. He was elected chairman for the American College of Cardiology Board of Governors in 2007 and also serves as president of the Austin Heart Foundation and president of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. The principal investigator for numerous research projects, Dr. Rodgers has published more than 40 clinical articles in medical journals and is a member of the American Heart Hospital Journal editorial board. He has a special interest in the early detection and treatment of atherosclerosis and is the founding member of the Society of Atherosclerosis Imaging.

Bob DeWitt Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Bob DeWitt joined Biophysical Corporation as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in April 2008. Bob brings with him more than 24 years of corporate sales and sales management experience. Prior to joining Biophysical, Bob held sales and marketing positions with Apple Computer, Dell Computer, Motorola and Bluecurrent. Some of Bob's sales accomplishments include: Acquisition Salesman of the Year at Dell Computer for closing over 40 million dollars in new projects; leading a sales team that produced a three-fold increase in revenue over the previous year while at Bluecurrent; and closing major alliance deals with Reprise/Warner Bros Records and Dreamworks while managing the west coast entertainment and music studios for Apple Computer. In his spare time, Bob competes in ultra-endurance events and has completed 27 marathons, 14 IronMan triathlons and five fifty-mile running races.

Rich Martin Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Rich Martin joined Biophysical Corporation in April 2008 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Biophysical, Rich served as Vice President of Finance for Akela Pharma Inc. and as Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Broadwing Corporation (NASDAQ: BWNG). At Broadwing, he was responsible for all accounting, tax and internal control functions and managed the key aspects of the company's IPO in which it raised over $1 billion. Rich also has over eight years of public accounting experience with KPMG LLP where he specialized in corporate audit and related services for public or soon to be public companies.
